AL NOOR CELEBRATES EXCELLENT CAMBRIDGE RESULTS

Al Noor International School held its IGCSE, AS and A LEVEL Graduation Ceremony at the Gulf Convention Centre on 24 November, 2013.  It was a magnificent event and an occasion for Al Noor students, parents and officials to celebrate the excellent Cambridge results obtained in June 2013.

The event was held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Majid Bin Ali Al Nu’aimi, Minister of Education, Kingdom of Bahrain. Ms. Wedad Radhi Al Musawi, Assistant Undersecretary for Private and Continuous Education    represented the Minister at the ceremony.  She handed out the graduation certificates, together with Mr Ali Hassan, the school’s Founder Chairman.  The function was also graced by the presence of officials from the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Education, officials from the diplomatic corps, other dignitaries and parents.

The School Chairman, Mr Ali Hassan, congratulated the students on their accomplishments and wished them success in their future endeavours.  He thanked the Head Teachers, Coordinators and teachers of the school for the time and energy they devoted to the education of the students.

The Principal, Mr Rashid Mandi, extended a warm welcome to all the guests and parents.  He praised the outstanding results obtained by the IGCSE, AS and A Level students and mentioned the school’s achievements during the course of the past academic year.

The following AS level students were rewarded for their diligence by obtaining straight A’s in all the subjects: ATHUL SIVARAM PULIMOOTTIL,

AIMA SOHAIL, AYA TAREK MOUSTAFA MOHAMED, BADER ADEL MOHAMED SALEH MOHAMED AMEEN, DUAA MAHMOOD DARWISH, FATHIMA RAZFA RUWAIS, RAWAA JAFFAR MOHAMED AL SAYEGH, RISHAM MOHAMMAD NAEEM, SALWA EMTEYAZ AHMED MUKHTAR, SAMYA FAREED HASSAN, WALAA MOHAMED HUSAIN SALMAN RADHI, YUSUF AHMED MUKHTAR MOHAMED MUKHTAR, HASAN ABDULLA HILAL

and MARAM SALAH OMRAN ALASHOOR were the top students  in the A Level examinations with 2 A*’s and 1 A, followed by ANOOPA SUNDARARAJAN 1A*’ and 3 A’s, SARAH AHMED  MAKI MOHAMED HABIB MOHSEN AL AALI 3A’s. This represents the best results in the history of the school.  The results achieved by the AS and A Level students were quite remarkable considering the fact that many of them passed with distinction.

MARWA ALI  ALMADHI and MOHAMED AHMED ABDULLA NASER delivered the valedictory speeches on behalf of the IGCSE and AS/A Level students respectively.  MARWA ALI  ALMADHI said that the certificates they had received demonstrated that they had developed a strong sense of responsibility, which will enable them to persevere and never waiver from their course of action MOHAMED AHMED ABDULLA NASER thanked the school’s teachers for their unwavering faith in them and for equipping them with the skills to face the challenges they will face on leaving the school.

In addressing the audience, the School Director, Mr Muhammad Mashood, reminded the students that the ceremony did not symbolise the end of their studies.  He told the students that that there is always more to do, more to learn and more to achieve, irrespective of how much they have done, or of how successful they have been in the past.

The Graduation Ceremony was a memorable, meaningful event which will always be treasured by the graduates and those who came out to support them.
